I started making Sushi for my 4 boys a little over 20 years ago while we were still farming in Zimbabwe. No sooner had I started I was asked to make it for other family members and farmers wives in our area.
Over the years I’ve made more Maki & Uramaki pieces, Nigiri’s & Salmon Roses, than I can begin to count. In order to create perfection, I’ve also experimented with lots of different ingredients, and despite the process of making Sushi being intricate and time consuming, I still thoroughly enjoy making it…in fact, I love it!
Having moved back to my home country seven years ago, I continued making sushi for my boys as a monthly treat and on special occasions. In fact, they were the ones who convinced me to start making it again for other people to enjoy, which brings me to where I am today…
I’ve always prepped & rolled my Sushi to be eaten on the very day it’s made, thus ensuring all the ingredients are as fresh as the day they were caught or harvested…
